I want an addon to collect my catch without having to look at the screen and clicking on the bobber. I realise this sounds EXTREMELY lazy, but i want to have 600 in all professions and fishing Is the last one i have to max out (currently 500). Is there a macro or an addon where i could press a certain key or click on a fixed place on the screen so I can fully pay attention to the show I'm watching while fishing.

No...what you are asking for sounds more like automation, also known as botting, which isn't allowed in the game and can lead to your account being permanently banned....

W Fish bot 5. 4.3.4, bot, Fish Hack, fishbot, Fishing bot. Size: 2.8 mb How to use. Bug Tracker; WRobot: Bot for World of Warcraft: Legion Download now.

lmao, that's beyond lazy. That's like not playing WoW at all.
I use Fishing Ace. You can double-click anywhere on the screen to put on a lure and cast. I play with no sound so this addon turns up my volume for the splash. If you have you mouse on the bobber, you can right-click to catch the fish. It's as simple as you can get besides bribing a small child with candy to fish for you.
Get the addon from Curse.

No. There is no way to collect the caught fish other than clicking on the bobber. At the very least, you have to watch where the bobber lands, and move the mouse over it for each and every cast.
Personally I bind my mouse's Thumb Button to Cast Fishing, with autoloot on it's just a matter, Thumb-click, Right-click, repeat.
Fishing Buddy is an add on that provides many shortcuts for things, but you still have to play the game. Addons won't generally provide too much automation since its against the ToS.
It's the add on 'have someone else play for me since I am too lazy'. Do you want an add on that will log on, queue up for LFR or flex and play your toon as well?
Why do noobs always complain so much about having to actually do work to increase their level in anything?
Note that if you really hate fishing but can't stand having a low skill, Nat Pagle will sell you a book to increase your fishing skill by 50 points (Nat's Fishing Journal: http://www.wowhead.com/item=88563).
To be able to buy this book you need to be exalted (best friend) with him, which does actually require fishing up special fish in Pandaria. But it's generally pretty easy to catch a the fish for the daily turn ins.
Or in other words, minimal fishing plus gold equals max fishing skill.
half the people who bad mouth are pure trash lol

youre actually a loser
I am also having a problem. I was banned a couple years ago for using a 'bot' which automated much of the mousework in the game. I did this because I am disabled and in a great deal of pain most days. I even had PERMISSION from the devs before the buyout.
Typing isn't as painful as using the mouse. It's a shoulder issue... So I am also looking for mouse help. Any suggestions?
So, as a fellow lazy fisherman.
For marathon fishing; here's what I do.
I have a hand held wireless keyboard (used mostly for presentations etc.) which has a thumb driven mouse pad and right/left click buttons on it.
I zoom the camera in all the way to first person, lay down on the sofa, turn the sound effects all the way up, double click, glance at the screen; if the mouse is not over the bobber; recast, however 90% of the time with the oversized bobber and camera zoomed all the way in the mouse is over the bobber.
technically, you don't even have to look and re-cast, just close your eyes and listen for the sound, occasionally you'll miss a fish if the pointer happens to not be over the bobber, but the vast majority of the time it works fine.

not really, while zoomed all the way in like that; the vast majority of the time you will cast within an area that works out to be clickable.
This is a three year old thread.
I would prefer one that just re-casts the line for me. It is a lot of clicking, specially if im in the same spot for 2-3 hours. My fishing is 700, but i still do the fishing grinds.
Ok on that topic, is there a fishing add-on that has a floating button that will appear to catch the fish after it has been hooked? I realize that automation is cheating but i have problems seeing the bobber... that is my only complaint
i have problems seeing the bobber

Have you tried any of the toys that change the bobber? The tugboat or can of worms would probably be a good choice.
Edit/Looks like I lost my edit!
Moroes?? The fishing guy in new dalaran on the island below the pet battle area, I believe he sells bobbers, and I think has toy reward ones as well.

can get oversized bobbers at darkmoon faire.
so in other words... no
And you were given in-game alternatives to botting.
