32. However it is suggested that you should either start with Sengoku, and then go to the start or start straight from the beginning. Fortunately Sengoku's storyline is largely standalone with references to the previous games.
33. Now that Rance VI is in English it is possible to start from there as well though the previous games are more important to VI than they are to Sengoku.
34. Rance I may not be worth playing but there is a translated digest version which covers the important parts. Then play Rance 02, Rance III, Rance IV and Rance 4.1 and 4.2. Kichikuou Rance follows the plots from Rance 1 to 4.2 and you may want to have played the earlier games as it could enhance the enjoyment of the series but it is definitely worth playing on it's own as it is one of the best Rance games.

37. A: Kichikuou Rance can be considered as the final game of a non canon continuity starting with Rance I. 407. A: Not especially; the main issue is getting lost. These games require minimal grinding as long as you have sufficient healing items. One notable exception is a end-game boss of Rance III which requires a ridiculous amount of grinding or little at all based on luck.

Incidentally, gal monsters will only drop equipment if they drop an item, so you don't have to worry about the game messing with you in that way. 428. A: Add white items to improve your base stats and blue items either give you special attack uses or a revival if you run out of HP. Red items can only be used to expand your grid; the number of squares it expands is shown below. You can also use other items to expand your grid if you press the red button. Also, be sure to find the treasure chest on each floor before going on to the next one.

430. A: Guard can be bypassed with special attacks or critical hits. Neither actually remove the guard though. There is also a small chance that the disturb effect of the skull item may remove the guard. However, like many Alice Soft games, the RNG is out to get you, so you shouldn't count on it.

432. A: Grind for items and add them to your grid. Extra special attacks and revivals help a lot though stat increases are still very important.

For bosses however, you need to grind to insane levels just to stand a chance.

446. A: There's a SaveData folder in the Widenyo folder. In that, there's a MusicData folder (if not, create one). Put your favorite mp3s in there, though it may not work if there are tags or album art. If all else fails, convert it to a wav file.
